Fashion may seem frivolous, yet, it’s a massive $2.5 Trillion industry with significant impact on the global climate crisis. Those impacts are far-reaching, and typically it’s marginalised communities that are hit the hardest. Transitioning to a sustainable apparel industry is critical. But, the current one-size-fits-all solution for sustainable fashion, based on exclusivity and luxury, makes it difficult to produce, harder to find and expensive to purchase for many people. These barriers prevent a broad audience from transacting sustainably.
